The Professorship is for a distinguished scholar and teacher of legal ethics who will promote Hofstra Law s longstanding commitment to the field of legal ethics and act as a conduit between Hofstra Law and the legal profession. In addition to the normal duties of a tenured faculty member, the Distinguished Professor is tasked with bringing key figures to campus to speak at our annual distinguished lecture and working with the Executive Director of the Monroe H. Freedman Institute for the Study of Legal Ethics to organize Hofstra Law s ethics conferences and ethics programs. Applicants should have a distinguished record of academic achievement, superior teaching ability, and significant experience in the study and teaching of legal ethics, as well as prominence in the professional ethics community. Hofstra University provides the above salary as a good faith estimate of the starting pay range which considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience and education. In addition to the salary offered, we offer a collegial and inclusive culture, and a benefits program which includes generous paid time off, paid holidays, tuition remission for employees and eligible dependents, and a retirement plan with University contributions. Salary ranges indicated for positions covered under a Collective Bargaining Agreement are in accordance with the CBA.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
