We are looking for a intake Specialist.
You will perform a range of duties.
The ideal candidate for this position has proven experience in intake in a home care setting, outstanding organizational skills, and in-depth knowledge of processes for insurance verification and obtaining authorizations.
Responsibilities:
Be the first point of contact for potential new patients and their families.
Informs patients and/or potential family members of the services our agency provides speak directly with the person and their families to determine what services might be needed Interviews patients and completes admissions paperwork Verifies patient insurance coverage and benefits.
Request and track authorizations patients Answers phones and completes associated clerical tasks Creates patient records.
Tracking potential patients and their status.
Maintain admissions statistics report.
Receive all referrals Collaborate with clinical, coordination, business development staff to ensure proper placement and compassionate care to new patients.
Obtained orders from Doctors and Social Workers Verified patient's diagnosis with medical team Credentialed Physicians including licensure, PECOS and Medicaid enrollment Obtained and filed medical records accordingly to the category of treatment Request Face2Face from patients primary care physician.
Assist Patients to enroll in plans or change MLTC when requested Assist patients with obtaining Medicaid, maximus conflict free assessment, and Long Term Care, Refer patients to other services when needed.
Responsible for overall supervision of intake staff; including distribution of work, performance productivity, evaluations, performance improvement plans, and ongoing development and mentorship of staff.
Requirements:
Bi-lingual One years of experience in a similar role.
One years of Home Care experience required In-depth knowledge insurance verification and authorization procedures Excellent customer service skills EOE Job Type:
