We want our Service Advisors to fully understand the sales process involved with advising service customers about how to repair and maintain their cars properly.
He or she must have an outgoing personality with expertise in developing relationships and trust and must be able to provide excellent CSI scores.
Bi-lingual in Spanish is a Plus!! Candidates must have a valid and clean NY driver's license and must be able to pass a drug test and background check.
Responsibilities include:
Interprets the customer's description of symptoms Clarifies description of problems so the mechanic can repair the problem correctly Ability to translate complicated terminology into a language the customer can understand Works with our customers to schedule service Verifies warranty and service contract coverage Develops estimates by costing materials, supplies and labor including deductibles and sets expectations for cost and completion Prepares repair orders Schedules service for customers either in person or on the phone to ensure a prompt and accurate diagnosis of any problems Makes repair recommendations and manages delivery of repairs by setting and managing customer expectations Ensures that required documentation is complete and follows regulations and standards Attends all staff meetings, trainings, and educational classes as required Greets all customers entering the service area with a friendly, professional attitude, answering any questions and/or directing them to the appropriate person or location Verifies customer appointments and all relevant customer information (name, VIN, tag number, mileage, etc.
) Follow up by phone, text or email with your customers ALWAYS and DO NOT wait for them to call you
